Now that the Canadian dollar is doing well vs the US dollar is there any advantage to purchasing a car within Canada or importing one from the US. I'm starting to look for a 1971-72 pre-L which has been up-dated but looks close to a stock body with no wing. I would prefer yellow but availablity is an issue. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Colin in Winnipeg.

Hi Colin,

Take a look around this forum in the cars for sale as well as the PI main page, there are frequently good deals. It's my understanding that buying a 30 y.o. car is easy from the states, and thanks to milder weather and a legacy of collector cars most of the panteras are in good condition. BUT I still suggest taking the money you can save in the exchange and use it to visit potential cars in person. Will save you money in the long run. Good hunting!
