Mike Drew, Lori Albino and I met Lilo at the NorCal Shelby Club Spring Sprint at Thunderrhill a few months ago. He's a super nice guy and not only had the Mangusta there but a Lola T70 and a Porsche.
I since heard a rumor the Goose has been accepted for the Monterey Historics.

Lilo Zicron of Toluca Lake Classic Motorsports ( http://www.tlcmotorsport.com/) is running his 1970 Mangusta in Group 5A at the Monterey Historic Races (excuse me, "Monterey Motorsports Reunion") in August.

Yeah, I thought about that, but Rolex is just the primary sponsor, not part of the copyrighted event name. The former event was the "Rolex Monterey Historic Races" where Rolex was also the primary sponsor. But "Monterey Historic Races" was the copyrighted event name owned by Steve Earle who took it with him when the Laguna Seca folks decided to take over the event for themselves. That's why the current event has the new name of "Monterey Motorsports Reunion."

Over here in the UK I recently visited a specialist metal fabrication shop only to find 2, yes 2 bare-metalled Mangusta body shells.
Fascinating to say the least to see them naked!
Sorry they had a strict no photo policy, I tried.
