Radio choices

I notice Alpine has recently released a head unit with the ‘70’s - ‘80’s style buttons.

We use Joe's Classic Radio quite often. They'll put new "guts" into your original radio, keep the faceplate and buttons, and everything is functional. Get the Bluetooth option...

That's a viable option for sure however if I'm going to go thru the effort and expense I think it more prudent to go 100% new

But I thought you wanted it to look period correct? Looks like 74alfa's suggestion is a great option. It looks like the restoration process is very thorough. Lots of options.

Mine had a Becker Europa in it. Since there was no factory radio what does yours have?

I'm not sure what it is there is no name on the radio!

I switched to a dual media radio. Wish I had sprung for the BT option but i am stuck with a chord for now. The media only radios are only half as deep as one with a cd player.

That's crazy. Not even proud enough to put their name on it. Sounds like the possibilities to keep it period correct are wide open then.

I have a Retrosound which you can customize with different knobs and surround plates to make it look like a 70’s to 80’s stereo but has modern features.  It is similar to to what Custom Autosound offers.

I went with a bluetooth amp by Boss Audio and refinished the console to FOB😊. It links with your phone immediately when you enter the car. I placed the controller in the ashtray.. you can place Velcro on the controller if desired and put it wherever bc it has a long cord tucked away. It’s pretty slick.

its a remote head unit, it will be in stock location on a swivel mount
