Are these metal or plastic?
Most vendors sell them. I think they were originally a late '60s Cougar part Ford adapted to the Pantera. There used to be an elegant Hall Pantera adaption that automatically rotated a 'delete-logo' cover open when you selected a stereo switch, while concealing the radio from casual thieves otherwise. Not sure if they're still available.
The originals were plastic.
The original radio delete plate in my Pushbutton car is not plastic. It appears to be stainless and it polishes up nicely.

I was able to restore this radio delete plate. It can be disassembled, cleaned, and polished. The vinyl underneath the cougar and stainless edge trim was replaced. The center cougar portion has threaded pegs and nuts that hold it in place.

Steve, I stand corrected the very early ones (Pushbutton's are almost a breed unto themselves) were metal and later switched to plastic.

Is this metal? Says its a "correct production" but since they came in both metal and plastic who's to say what is correct?
My understanding is the reproduction pieces were plastic and all one piece.

Mine was plastic. Sold it. I don't miss it.
