This rain sucks, this is the first weekend in a long time that I haven’t got to drive the Pantera….. Dam it man, it’s not right! It has been raining here for like 3 chilling days, it’s really been ruff Roll Eyes on us; It’s Freezing cold too… Thermometer reads 48°, feels more like 45°. Having to run the heater in house to stay warm…. Wink

Yup. We discovered that a Pantera will in fact actually run in the rain. Not that I generally DO drive in the rain, but it has been unavoidable a few times.

Like Rob's, mine's been tucked away in my nice heated shop since November. Maybe by next May I'll get to drive her again.

You only think you have dissproven that. When was the last time you checked her for rust?? I bet you get under there with a screw driver and poke around and you will get sick with what you find.
I don't think driving in the rain four times in five years would turn my car into a rust bucket. If it would, I'm sure that every Pantera outside of Arizona would be gone by now. After all, when people originally bought these cars, didn't they actually DRIVE them?
Rain indeed sucks; having grown up and spent a large proportion of my life in the UK, I know it all too well.

I guess that's why I just love the Nevada desert so....but wait what's that 12 inches of snow outside my house.....for a minute I thought I'd made that move to Calgary in my sleep.

You can at least drive a Panetra in the rain, snow is a little more challenging Wink

I would bet at least half the Panteras are gone by now. And I bet in another fourty years half of what is left now will be gone.

Along with all of me! Enjoy now while you can. No point in leaving them to the next generation — they'll probably rather collect Honda Insights and GM EV-1s anyway! Smiler
I hate to disappoint you Julian but there is almost no snow here at all! The roads are clear and dry. Yesterday was +5C and if I didn't have the car disassembled to the point where it is unuseable I would have had it out for a drive. Crap. Frowner
