I stopped by a my friends cafe today for some coffee a cigarette and some BS. This was one of those rare times I take my car out during week as opposed to a Sunday. There was a group of 5 men in their sixties enjoying their afternoon and drinking their espressos outside the cafe. One of the men stood up and came up to me and asked in some not too broken English and an Italian accent if I could show him the car. I obliged and after looking it over I noticed his face began to well up with tears.
He then told me that my car reminded him of his youth when he worked at Maserati in 1968. This was a guy I had to talk too, over the next 15 minutes I found out he was a body man for Lamborghini and Ferrari. And get this I asked him if he had worked for DeTomaso and he replied that the Pantera was the best of all of them!! I never said the word Pantera in our conversation either. All I know is this man's name is Joe and that they get together a few times a week and on the weekends. I look forward to running into him again...stay tuned, I told him I knew alot of people who were interested in hearing his stories.
