I had Terry LeVar from Race Pipes in Mesa, Az. do the work. The coating is from HPC (High Performance Coatings) in Chandler, Az., and is one of their newer types of coatings. I thought that they looked alot closer to polished aluminum than most other coatings that I have seen. Many other coatings have an orange peal look to them, which I did not like as well. Also he builds the headers to actually work and make horsepower. The pipes are in an actual firing order to cause scavenging (to suck the exhaust out faster, many of the 180's on the market do not take this in to consideration. Also no gaskets anywhere and no exhaust leaks! He does a great job, and he does all kinds of race applications, in fact he just did a second set for Jim Click's GT40.
I believe it was about $2000.00. He does a great job. He wetjet cuts the individual flanges and port matchs the ports to the head, and there is no ridge where the pipe is welded on (perfectly smooth). He also makes the bracket to hold the mufflers and uses air craft clamps to hold them. He is very professional. He is a Jet Hot dealer, and I liked the HPC better so I took them there to get coated, but you may like the Jet Hot.
Coz,

Let me know the day your going to throw it out and I will take the trash out for you! lol

The thing is, is that I have to change the headers that I have now, because I have changed from a Cleveland to a Windsor. Standard headers (ceramic coated) will run about $600 plus the new exhaust for another $300.

So, then it becomes a differance of about $1100 or so. And if you have ever seen Kevins car, you would be using your kids lunch money to get them.
Yes, definetly felt better response, especially mid range. I have not done any horse power dyno pulls, only jetting etc. on dyno, since motor was basically brand new. Hoping to do one soon. Just had a problem with the motor, pulled valve cover and had broken valve springs (outer springs). Think cam is to radical for street, witha 723 lift. It is a solid roller cam. Motor was set up by Holman and Moody and we just copied what they already had with even better Parts. Did not even have any idea that anything was wrong, just rechecking valve settings. No other damage. We are going to change cam to something around 650 lift. Maybe send cam back to Comp Cams and have cam reground.
