Should have done a search first, but I decided to remove my rear cover as I had a couple of broken bolts at the trans mount. Well the cover was a little tuff prying it out and watching for anything to fall I notice a shaft coming out at the same time. Now I read that this is the idler shaft. I pulled it far enough back but not to clear the studs when I notice this shaft coming out. Now I didn't hear anything drop, but have I gone to far or did any damage to the trans to have to pull it right apart. It's not a real big deal for me if I have to, I just don't want to if I don't. Now the gasket is screwed of coarse and the rear cover has to come off for sure. Any ideas to continue removing cover?? Not sure what is making the shaft stick to the cover. Thanks
