Greetings

I'm new to this board and would like some help with tires. I've done a pretty exhaustive search and found zip for any H or V rated "rears" in 15". However, there are quite a few 295/50 S rated tires available.... so the operative question is are any of these OK for "normal" hwy use. I will not be driving the car 'fast'.

Also, does anyone have H or higher rated 295/15's stashed away???

TIA

I'm certainly not an expert on tires but I have had several high performance autos and have run "S" rated on them without a problem at legal highway speeds. The market is very limited in 15" tires. I went to 17" rims and ZR rated tires because I thought they looked good. I would have no qualms in putting 15" "S" rated back on my car. I still have the original Campys. Other tan race tracks where can you legally go over 100 mph?
The current tire-speed rating system used by all the mafgrs guaranttess a given vehicle to run at their rated speed for up to 2 hrs continuously without tire failure due to the speed. Unless you live very close to LeMans or Talledega, the 'S' rated tires will likely do you just fine. And your billfold will be likely be much heavier as a result, too....
