Maximus you don't say whether it needs to be a 'factory' wide body. The ~'84 Euro GT5 on Ebay UK looks pretty good for the $$ if you do want an original, although the exchange rate is not in your favor at present. Closer to home (well in your case I'm not so sure, but at least already US titled) what about Emery's '74 GT5 conversion in Hawaii, a real nice example and posted for sale here very recently.

Maximus,

The thread below contains some discussion on the Scotti car, plus an 83 GT5 #9195 that Johnathan Mastromettei, from Ottawa was selling. If I remember coprrectly he posted that he was going to sell it come spring, so you may like to PM him (username; Detomaso83) and see what the situation is, unless our other Canuck participants already know the fate of this car?

Maximus,

As you say real GT5's are rarer than rocking horse sh*t and at the right price the UK car may not be as much hassle as you perceive to get into the US.

A day and half left to go and its at GBP 16,000, okay reserve not met, but hopefully it is set somewhere realisitc and lower than 'buy it now' which could make it a 'fair priced' example. Sea freight to the East coast via container should only run about $2K.

Coz brought in #9178 from Italy, so he has been there. It may pay to touch base with him as to the pitfalls of importation.

Also if you find you are at all interested PM Johnny Woods in the UK, he if anyone may know more of this UK car.

If I hadn't just purchased one, I'd be giving at least a cursory look at this car.

hello-Really do not have a budget-it really depends on the car/needs/originality/mileage etc..I suppose a nice original and not a show car would be worth around 55-60K mint 65-70? and one with needs 50-55K. Not real up on values-I guess it also depends on color, ownership etc.. maybe some feedback from other members would be helpful!!
