I'm planning a road trip from Vegas to San Francisco to visit my step daughter. On the way up I'm stopping at Hearst Castle then continuing to Monterey. Google map shows that the main route via CA-1 n/Cabrillo Hwy is closed until 4/30. It does not provide an alternate route. Can anyone tell me how to get from San Simeon to Monterey if the route is closed? Thanks in advance!
