I think about 13,000 new and add for the polish optional, A local guy has one that he wants to sale in a 69 Boss Mustang. (very low time on motor in track car) He has a paxton blower and MASS EFI on it. I went for a ride and it felt great. I'm not sure how much HP the blower added but I think just the carburetor motor would be a kick in the Pantera
I think I'm sold! Just wondering what others think about the motor, reliability, HP, and Torque curve.
The owner of the Boss Mustang is going back to a original style motor 302 I guess. He would keep the EFI and Blower.
Yes I would need to change Oil pan, Flywheel, and other items related to the swap in a Pantera

If you are talking about motors for $13.000 the roush motor is only rated at 550 HP, Here is a guy that builds alot of ford motors and I have seen some of them run, and I would get one of his motors cause it is more bang for the buck,

427 cid-625hp

-Bennett Racing Basic Dart Shortblock 427 cubic inches (4.125 Bore x 4.00 Stroke)
-Custom Grind Hydraulic Roller Camshaft
-Canton 7 quart Oil Pan Kit
-ATI Harmonic Balancer
-Stage 3 TFS Hi Port Cylinder Heads
-Roller Rockers & Hardened Pushrods
-Fully Ported Victor Jr Intake
-Holley 950hp Carburetor or Accufab 4 Hole Throttle Body & Convert Intake to EFI
-MSD Billet Distributor & Plug Wires
-Dyno Tested & Tuned

$13,750 CARBURETOR VERSION

This the ultimate streetable 351 based engine. It makes a whopping 625hp and 560 ft/LB torque on pump gas and is fully streetable. We have sold these engines to customers with early model Mustangs, Late Model Mustangs, and the popular Cobra Replicas. This engine typically runs 9.90 to 10.40 in a 3100lb car on motor, and we have had customer's run fast as 8.60 with nitrous. This engine come complete ready to run, all you need is the car, fuel system, headers, and transmission!

In the Ford mustang circle alot of guys are running his motors seen one in a 93 mustang run a 5.12 sec run in the 1/8 mile and spun the tires was very impressive as far as the HP and torque the motor had.
