If I recall correctly,Wilkinson had a batch made up this year. At a much reduced price from the $1200 or so that was common a few years back.

And years back, there was a batch, from Hall?, that was not only thin but also undersized. So try to get the history of whatever you find.

Now, just about any vendor has access to windshields, of course. Prices may vary. And their source can vary. too.

And I haven't heard any feedback yet on the quality of Wilkinson's new batch. I recently held one of Wilkinson's new shift levers in my hands at a PCNC meeting, and the quality left a lot to be desired. A little more time with the sanding/buffing wheels prior to chrome sure would have been nice on the example I saw.

But a replacement surely isn't something you will find at Windshields-R-Us or on Craig's List. Wink

Keep in mind, last I knew, the gaskets alone were $250.
I had a guy come and do a windshield for me on my everyday car and saw the Pantera. He knew what the car was. We started talking and I said that I would like to put in a windshield with the radio antenna built into this.

He said that he had done several Panteras.

Now get this. He calls his supplier on the spot on his cell phone and tells me that the guy says that he has three in stock and they are $250 each. He gave me his business card but I never called him because I figure that something was wrong somewhere?

Wouldn't it be a hoot if this was for real? I'm going to look for the card. Now where could I have put it?
The Viracon (what I've got) with the embedded antenna is the one with the optical issues at the lower corners. The effect however is only slightly distracting to me at 6'-2" tall. If I scrunch down to a lower point of view I could see how it would be much more so though.

The gasket fit is loose. The one time I got caught in a good downpour the water literally came over the dash. Once I got moving it almost completely stopped.
