I have stock seat belts that are in great shape in my 73. Has anyone changed just the female side of the seat belt (tired of looking for the damn thing along side the seats) Looking to replace them with ones that stand up by themselves? I know someone has made this change just can't remember who? (got CRS!)

Here's the post that has all kinds of junk in it, but my sophisticated "Belt Rigidity Kit" is in there. I think I invested $6 in the deal. You'll see...

2. Seatbelts are installed. The ebay ones didn't exactly fit like I'd hoped. Using the original female/push button side, with neat mod. You know how the thing always slips b/t the seat and console? (Say 'yes, I do'.) I put a new short battery cable (12" I think) and lined up the cable holes with the attachment holes for the belt and 'presto chango' it all fit together and the belt is ridin' high!

Hope this helps.
