Nice, I like 'em.
How far off the floor does the seat cushion sit? I can't see from the photos if they have adjustable rake or not, looks like maybe not?
Did you take the Elise out to see what the comfort levels are like over a long drive?
The Elise and Exige are rated highly as good honest fun, no nonsense, no bling rides. Being a Brit I have a fondness for Lotus (and TVR), as they were about the only exciting sports cars I'd see on the roads as a lad. There were some greats too, JV's with Ford producing the Lotus Ford Cortinas, a stock Ford body with a Lotus twin cam engine. Not huge cc's at 1.6L to 2.2L (that's 98 to 134 CI for you guys), but revvy little engines that'd pull your pants off... stoppin' em again, well that was a whole different ball game.
I almost bought a Lotus Esprit in my younger days. Always remember that; First I saw was advertised as needing some TLC, got to this guys farm out in the middle of nowhere (well as far as you can be in the middle of nowhere in the UK) and turn the corner to see this guys chickens had taken roost in it
Needless to say, it fell fowl of the mark for what he was asking
Second one, needing some work was some distance away and I discussed detail with the guy on the phone before going to see it. He forgot to mention on the phone it had been rolled and needed a rebody (Esprit's as with all Lotus' are GRP bodies).
From there I gave up and bought a nice '77 Triumph Stag.
After digressing, lets see where were we... Ah, yes, I knew there was some objective to mentioning the UK, that's where I'd look for a wrecked Elise, they have been around longer, are quite popular and affordable there = a lot of young boy racers with more between their legs than they can handle == wrecks!!
