The exhaust looks better IMO without the mufflers, but I have to run them on Tahoe to get anywhere close to the Lake dB limit.

Power is twin Chevrolet 383 strokers with 490HP each.

The boat has quite a history winning the APBA P5 class World Championship in 1976 and again in 2002!

I winterized it and put it away until spring yesterday Frowner Time to think about the ski season soon.

So, how fast does a boat like this go?

In her race days P5 class is limited to 70 mph, but she'll do 87 mph at sea level. For the altitude (6,250 ft) of Lake Tahoe I have had to change props and down 20% on HP (now only 800 HP Big Grin) so will be lucky to see 70 mph, but on a hot summer day there's no better place to be IMO.
