Actually I believe Firebird Raceway has a Drag Boat Lake.... can't imagine towing it behind a Pantera though.

Now that looks fun - how much power?

The exhaust looks better IMO without the mufflers, but I have to run them on Tahoe to get anywhere close to the Lake dB limit.

Power is twin Chevrolet 383 strokers with 490HP each.

The boat has quite a history winning the APBA P5 class World Championship in 1976 and again in 2002!

I winterized it and put it away until spring yesterday Time to think about the ski season soon.

Reno is an 8 hr drive from Vegas and high desert (5,000 ft at my house) and then climbing to 9,000 ft Sierras, overnight temps are already below freezing.

In her race days P5 class is limited to 70 mph, but she'll do 87 mph at sea level. For the altitude (6,250 ft) of Lake Tahoe I have had to change props and down 20% on HP (now only 800 HP ) so will be lucky to see 70 mph, but on a hot summer day there's no better place to be IMO.

Joules, great to see a fellow boater. There's a certain freedom on the water that has disappeared on land.

My boat is a standard (almost) pleasure boat, run of the mill in the US, but considered quite fast here in Denmark. Around 64 mph, occasionally 66 mph.
