Stack rubber O-rings under the gear shift knob and tighten it back on to get the De Tomaso logo aligned. Or, if you don't have O-rings in the right size handy, just use a rubber band and keep looping it around and then hand tighten the knob back on until the logo is perfect. Use some of the rubber band like pipe thread tape, and thread over it with the knob so it won't come loose.

The logo disc is only held in with contact cement, so another option is to carefully pry the logo-cap off, screw the knob on tight, then reapply a dot of contact cement with the logo in the desired postion. If the knob continues to move afterwards, you have a problem with the knob or its threads. I've seen aftermarket knobs in which the threaded insert is loose, so in this case, the logo will never repeat its alignment.
Another trip to Lowe's hardware store tonight but forgot to look for washers. Coz originally suggested that to me, but my 2 coffe cans of msic bolts/nuts & washers didn't have the right size. Coz is probably right again, with heat, my 'rubber solutions' will fail, so I may try a lot of the white pipe thread tape, unless the Ford "Light-Bulb" goes off in my head while I'm at Lowes' next time, but it kept loosening up, so I'm thinking white pipe thread tape. But, my advise is not so great, I always gotta do things 3X to get it right.

Also my Le Carre steering wheel center ring cap keeps popping off into my lap under "sporting accelerations" and you guys are gonna Bust Me if I suggest a rubber band fix again, so what's the Better Idea guys?
