Ha Ha. Soon, we will unveil our grand plan and Kalifornia and Oredeygone will be ours... ha ha ha. Then we will take the east — Mayne (can never get enough lobster), New Hampster, New Yowk, Gorgias, Fooor-i-da (we really need the beaches for our babes). Then who wil be laughing??!!! Yes, it will be us!!! Ha Ha Ha. Oh, and everyone will drive white cars... Life will be perfect!!! Big Grin
DEEB, now you've done it! When they find out how much free "white stuff" we have up here, there will be a flood of immigration requests. Oh well—our secret is out. At least now everyone can understand why us Canuks are so happy and easy-going all the time... Big Grin
Wow George, those are some really awesome roads. Please point the way next time I'm in OC and lookin for somewhere to go.

Oh yeah... so how come it takes you 2 hours to drive less than 60 miles from Filmore to meet me for dinner?

Those must be some crazy first gear corners, or maybe it's just those pit stops for Tacos every few miles. Urp!

Oxnard has the strawberries, Fillmore is citrus and row crops. Fillmore is a predominantly Hispanic town as are all the agricultural areas of Ventura County, lots of opportunities to buy a taco. I like either carne asada or fish, on a corn tortilla.

Often I'm delayed while providing roadside assistance, being the good samaritan that I am...

Interesting....I drive the 126 out to Santa Barbara several times a month and I have yet to see a taco stand. Fruits and strawberrys up the wazoo but tacos? Nope. Must be a local thing.

The next time you drive through Fillmore, first avoid yawning or you'll miss the town. Second, stop at the last little run down business as you're leaving town headed west, on the right hand side of the road. Its a Tipsy Fox liquor store and a little restaurant called "Aye Chihuahua". Go inside Aye Chihuahua and order an asada taco with everything, and hot sauce. Let me know how you like it. Most authentic tacos you can buy north of the border.
