Now that my car is back on the road, I don’t have to sit around and mope all the time.

How about a nice dinner at Hot-Rods?

I would like to show off the “Lone Woofs” Pantera to the group.

  • Wade and I will do a “Tech Session” describing the engine upgrades / mods from the stock 351C.

I will arrange a parking area for our cars, and if it’s not too roasting hot, we can sit on the patio or balcony so we can admire them, whilst we eat our food, and tell each other how great Panteras are.

Please RSVP so we can have a head count

Look forward to seeing you. The last time we got together was the Arivaca run – that was awesome….

P.S. I was also thinking of extending a hand to the “FIAT” (Fun Italian Automobiles of Tucson) crew, and see what comes out of that.

    Hey Fellow FIAT Fans!

We just received an invitation to join the Southern Arizona Pantera Club for a dinner gathering at Hot Rods on Sunday, August 3, 2014 at 6:00 PM. This is a fantastic opportunity to get together with another group to talk about all things "Italian car." I will post this item on our group's blog, too.

If you can join in the fun please RSVP either to me or to Rocky of the Southern Arizona Pantera Club so that a group of parking spots can be reserved.

I look forward to seeing you there!

    Ciao!

We have reservations for 10 Cars (with reserved parking) outside by the patio.

It may be too hot to sit out there for dinner, but we can certainly stand out there with a cold, frosty beverage and oogle them!

    Look forward to the event!

Awesome Event - Photos are in the slideshow (linked below)...

Panteras at "Hot Rods" - August 2014

    5x Panteras

    - Yellow: Chuck and Andy
    - White: Jim and Sean
    - Competition Orange: Wade

    5x Itialanos

    - X-1/9
    - Fiat Spider
    - Maserati
    - Lancia Scorpion
    - Abarth 2012

4x Italian Inspired, Yet Fully Americanized...

    - '80 Scout II - Sean / Steve
    - '40 Ford
    - '33 Vicky
    - Charger

A great time was had by all. Sean's white '74 is out of the picture - that's what happens when you get there on time (instead of 30 min early, like the rest of us nuts!)....

    Thanks for Coming!

PS. We are very glad that no one had any pressing issues - we may have overwhelmed the restaurant staff with a group of 24... But we didn't really come for the food. And the beer was cold....

    From the FIAT group....

The FIAT group had a great time at the meet-up with the Southern AZ Pantera club. Great bunch of folks!

Here is a link to the write-up I posted on the FIAT blog:

EDITOR's COMMENT - Great pictures, but it took me a while to find the Panteras! Dave is more artistic than I am. Smiler

    http://funitalianautomobilesof...et-up-03-august.html

There is a lot of interest among the members in the FIAT group in doing more activities together with the Southern AZ Panteras club.

We have a Sunday Drive up to Kitt Peak ("Picnic on the Peak") currently in work for September 14th, a dinner get-together (Italian, of course) planned for October 17 (place TBD), and another Sunday Drive for the Sonoita / Elgin area on the calendar for November 9. (These events are subject to change based on availability of folks and interest.)

There is also talk of getting a few cars to show at the Sierra Vista Car Club's "Cars in the Park" on October 11. If any or all of these sound like something the Southern AZ Panteras would like to do together with the FIAT group that would be great! Let me know and we can start coordinating as needed.
