An AR spark plug is a racing spark plug, it has a "cut back" side electrode to expose the spark better, which is a nice feature.
AP designates a platinum center electrode. A platinum center electrode is suposed to maintain it's sharp edges longer, which is also a good thing. APP designates a platinum tip on both the center & side electrodes.
If you want to experiment, try running your gaps at 0.060", this should improve your idle quality. But it's harder on your cap, rotor & wires.
