This morning I got a ticket going to work in my Jeep Grand Cherokee. Of course the police with radar guns were standing where everybody drives too fast and there's no danger to pedestrians because it's an office area. Nothing new here. But while I've gotten tickets before for speeding this one is special, because I know for sure I didn't go that fast! Limit was 60km, I was accelerating after having stopped for a red light and when I saw the police I looked at my speedo, it said almost 70km. But I was fined for doing 82km! Impossible.
So now it's lawyers, and I'll have to test the objectivity and fairness of the Danish legal system. I'm not optimistic.
As a side comment, some years ago I got a ticket in my boat. Also grossly overstated by the environmentally focused police type. But there I had a breadcrum track in my boat GPS, so I could PROVE that I hadn't gone anywhere near that fast, and in the end they dropped the case. Unfortunately my car-GPS has no such function...
