I am ready to start seam welding #5461. Some of the seams lend themselves to spot welding. Has anyone done it this way?
Does anyone have pictures for reinforcing the A pillar? They would be a great help to me.

i have been restoring 9189 for a number of years now. on my car the a pillers had rotted out where they connect to the sills. i cut all this out after bracing the door frame then removed the door. i then replaced the inner and center sill sections using custom made sections in thicker metal. i had to stich weld these in place as they are welded on to thinner gauge metal. when this was done i made up repair patches for the lower a post and stitched it all together with a mig welder

There are some really good pictures on this page http://www.panteraplace.com/page44.htm that show how to duplicate spot welds that look original. If you do it right no one will ever know you did any welding.
