I need to replace my shocks. I want to "upgrade" to adjustable coil-overs, so I can corner weight the car. It has been suggested to go with Aldan (www.AldanEagle.com) shocks. I've heard good things. What spring rates front and rear do people like ?
(As sway bars affect the choice, state that too.)
I have a stock front bar with spherebar mounts and alum inner brackets, and a 7/8" GTS rear bar with the same mounts.

Comments, suggestions, etc....
You can also contact me privately about good or bad experiences.

Chuck what have you found out on your shocks and springs? Do you happen to know what the diminsions are for stock springs and shocks? what length extened and collapesed they are? What length springs to use? I want to change my stock set up and need the same info as you. So I hope someone can help. Thanks paul.....

Bottom line ? Al Chelini has organized a group discount on Aldan shocks (sold by vendors for years), Goran Malmberg, knowledgable suspension guy, has offered his advice on spring rates (for my suspension)
and the deal is going down in the next couple of days ! Want to save a few hundred ?

(People stopping to refuel their cars at the gas station across from
the Seaboard garage see these shocks on my Pantera and are so impressed
with their natural polished aluminum billet appearance, they go "Awww".)
I've already had an offer to buy the car while it's on the lift!

At the behest of some 6 listers who have already signed up for the
Aldan bulk purchase, let me remind you if you have been noodling buying
a set for your car, the April 7th deadline is rapidly approaching. This
is the last advisiory.

Do it now. There are no plans to repeat this offer, at least for this
year.

The deal is a set of four double adjustable (compression and rebound
- as well as riding height), aluminum billet, nitrogen charged to 100
psi shocks for $930, delivered.

BTW, if you are OK with **single** adjustable shocks, they are
available for $780 for 2 pair, delivered.

Check out the following Aldan website pages to see what we're talking
about here:

http://www.aldaneagle.com/home.htm
then,
http://www.aldaneagle.com/UltimateShock.htm

These are the real deal, gorgeous shocks you see on show cars.

Planned spring rates (350/500, front and rear) are suggested by our
friend and list member/suspension advisor Mr.Goran Malmberg; and, if you
don't like those after you put them on, you can get them swapped (at no
extra charge)for different rate springs directly from Aldan. If you live
in the LA area, just hand-carry them into their factory .... they did
my spring change in 5 minutes! The available springs come in 50#/inch
increments, and the specific rates are listed on the Aldan website under
the "springs" section, 10" category page. (See above mentioned website.)

So far, I've had serious commitments from about 6 listers, but to this
moment only one (SO Bill Taylor) has delivered a Cashier's Check,
although I know some checks are now in the mails to me. I can hold off
the bulk purchase for perhaps a day or two with involved lister's
permission, but please keep in mind that this is a one-time purchase,
and late checks would be delaying delivery to those who have already
paid for and are awaiting their parts.

Contact me directly off line for the mailing address and phone number.
