Lots of play in my column bearings.
Found that they are from a MK1 or MK2 Ford Escort. Easily sourced here in the UK.
Forgetting to mark the splines, and not having a steering wheel at the moment (its gone for re covering) Does it matter where there splines go into the UJ?
The cancelling Red plastic bracket seems to be just held in place by a spring which holds it in position?
This could be easily moved when the column is in Position, and also the steering wheel can be centred relatively easily?
The top bearing is an odd bod too, only seeming to work when the centre collar is pushed into place by the spring, shall I get a plastic bush made do you think?
