Hi,
I am having trouble understanding which switch does what in what order on the dash panel. Here is what I think but please correct me if I'm wrong.
Headlight switch left= off center= parking lights and gauge lights right= headlights
Courtesy switch left= off center= map lights right= dome light
What are people using the aux switch for?

In my car the courtesy switch has not middle function. It simply turns the dome light on and off. The auxillary switch the one all the way on the bottom is connected to nothing. You can use it for different thing if you so choose
The unused switch comes in handy if you have a high capacity oil pan with a separate bung for a temp sender.
You can switch your temp gauge between your coolant & oil temperature.
You could also use it for fog lights.

Just because I constantly am checking it while I'm driving, I'm moved my temp gauge to the top so it's the first gauge. It's a little thing, but it saves a half second of not looking at the road.
