Larry, thank you for the telephone call Sunday, January 29, 2006. I appreciate the personal invitation to the PCNC Vegas Track Event in May and the heads-up that the track fee would be going up February 1. I was actually down at the office when you called, taking in a couple of new clients....

I am doubtful that I will be going to Vegas this year. If I went it would be to socilaize with my Pantera buddies. I know your passion for racing after meeting you last year at the track, and would hate to compare lap times with you buddy, so that's the real reason I'm not likely to be there. Just kidding. The truth is more based on your accurate assessment of the pit area. Like you said, there's guys with Panteras getting by on $50,000 a year and those other guys who "get by on $250,000 a year." We saw those guys with their custom RV's and dedicated enclosed trailers with matching custom paint schemes and virtual machine shops in the trailers, didn't we. Boggles my mind. I'm in the former crowd, not the latter. And on that note, let's say 2006 hasn't started out as robustly as I had hoped. That's why I was at the office on a Sunday, meeting clients. It's a brutally competitve economy out here, I'm afraid. That and I lost my Pantera fever momentarily. Not cured of Pantera fever entirely, and not thinking of selling it, but not planning to dump much money into it in 2006, like I have been the past few years since I got it. So I haven't been reading the PIBB like I do when I'm working on my cat, as you observed. I get hooked on this Pantera stuff and start spending and so it's best to focus on business for right now, not Pantera projects. For me anyhow. For right now at least. I have a lifetime to get everything done to my Pantera that I want to do.

I will return to Vegas and hook up with all you guys again, just a question of when. I hope you don't have to drive all the way from Fresno in the rain again Larry. That demonstrated bravado amigo. Way to be, that impressed me! I got tossed around with some heavy cross winds on the freeway on the way back last year. On the way there I blew a header gasket, and that was annoying. You saw Coz and me changing it in the pits, and I saw you jacking up your car and fine tuning it for the track. I like seeing that, it's inspiring. I wrote a small article for Dave and gave you a mention, as you may have seen if you are getting and reading Pantera International.

I also want to say hi to all my other buddies on the PIBB who may possibly read this, and I will be talking with you guys next time a Pantera project is underway. I don't know why, but I like to write articles about things I'm doing to it when a Pantera project is underway.

Larry, why don't you write an article for Dave about the PCNC Track Event this year? He likes to get articles submitted and you're right there, right in the middle of the action. You know everybody and you could come up with a terrific article. Just a thought. Look forward to reading about it if you do submit an acticle. You could update your resume, just like I did. Journalist, with publication credits. Just kidding, I haven't updated my resume since 1987. LOL!!! But if I ever did, I'd put down the fact I wrote and article and it was published. A cool thing, at least I think so. Go for it Larry!

And thanks again for the telephone call and invitation. Sorry I missed you. It would have been fun to talk. Hope all is well and your Pantera is ready for Vegas. I'm sure you're getting it prepped. Have a blast dude.

Ron, nice to see you're still around, even if it's not as much as before. I can totally relate to the ups and downs of time & money for our hobby while trying to run our own businesses (I suspect most of us here can relate). I hope things pick up and that your Pantera can be again what it's great at being — an outlet for the stress of work. I've always enjoyed your posts and look forward to your next wave of enthusiasm.
