I recently replaced the rear suspension bushes/axle bearings and I have got to say it was quite easy and dare I say it almost pleasurable experience. This was all made possible by the forums and all those who contribute. George, Bosswrench, PanteraDoug and many others, your help was invaluable. If you ever wonder why you bother please don't, there is someone out there taking in your advice and using it to better their toys. Also thank you to Mike's website, PanterPlace. It was also a huge help and gave me the confidence to take on a task I have never tackled before.

So thank you and keep the good advice coming!

And here is the proof. Smiler

With the right tools it is quite easy. I have a 20 tonne press and I bought a few short lengths of pipe (thanks bosswrench) to hold the disk hub with pressing out the axle and pressing in the bushes. I found that the bushes were the most difficult as they are very time consuming to remove. I made the axle nut socket myself like the way I saw other forum members did so I saved myself a $100 there. All four bearings were $100 which is cheap considering I am in Australia and everything costs way more here. I think if you have no problems and the right tools you could have both sides in and out within a day. I should add I was fortunate enough that my axles ect. had been remove fairly recently and my axle nuts were barely finger tight!
