I'm truly glad this seller believes this car is worth this asking price. I for one applaud the recognition, whether or not it brings this price.

A friend of mine just returned from Amelia Island and reported on what the 'thought' was an $77k sale on a Pantera. Still waiting for the results.

Maybe the appreciation for these cars is coming at last.

That certainly looks like a beautiful car. If I was asking that price I would go the tiny bit extra and remove the few non-factory bits and return it to 100% stock. Even so, given the "100" mile Pantera is still available at not much more, the seller has some competition. At least his car is not White. Smiler

Thanks DeTom. Hope we're right!

And Mark, yeah I noticed a few non stock items on a car that intends to wave the 'look how original I am' flag rather proudly.

The 100 mile car is presented very nicely (though in that unflattering shade of Frigidaire!) and looks just stellar.

I go back and look at the pics of the white car for some detail clarification on MY OWN car sometimes.

I hope both of these end up in very appreciative hands.
The B-J Auction brought nearly six figures on a GTS and some other high prices as well on other Panteras according to their website.
The GT4 replica that was on this website sold for around $85K I understand.
For good or bad, depending on if you are buying or selling, special cars are bringing pre-recession prices or better.
Surprisingly, my experience has been that the biggest skeptics of Pantera prices are sometimes owners themselves.

Boy Dave you just nailed it right there. I agree with you 100 percent about Pantera owners. It is like they have an inferiority complex or something. What other car can be compared to a Pantera? In my mind it defines what a "Gran Turisimo" was all about.
BTW, I have some of the original fastners for the fiberglass trunk. If someone want to make some new old stock for the truely dedicated restorationists, I will donate them for the cause.
It has been my experience that some of the better examples of a Marque trade hands below the radar, never hitting the auction circus. Such is the case with this Pantera. DJM did not pay much less for this car and every original piece and its fasteners was bagged, tagged and stored in a controlled environment. The pictures do not do is justice. I hope that it sells strong to improve Pantera values for the rest.
