So after lavishing all of my spare time lately on my new Longchamp, my white Pantera was feeling rather neglected. I decided I should pull the cover off, giver her a fresh transfusion of all vital fluids and go for a spin. Wow. I am always amazed when I jump in this car how great it is. Always starts. Always runs strong and smoothly. Always looks and drives great.

I drove my usual back-roads route near my place and stopped at one of my favorite spots to snap a few pics. I like this particular road because the scenery is once, the pavement is smooth, and virtually nobody drives on it. Makes stopping in the middle of the road to grab a shot a bit less dangerous. Big Grin

I took a few pics at the side of the road as well, and when I was back home looking at them on my computer I was surprised to see what I had missed when I was just stopped and sitting there.

I enjoyed your pic so much yesterday that they "drove" me to fire her up. It was 82 degrees F with a humidity of 72%RH. As soon as I pulled out of the climate controlled garage, the windows completely fogged, on the outside. I went to turn on the wipers which I have never used, and low and behold.... they did not work. I had to get a rag and wipe the windhsield dry. It was like soup outside.

Thanks Tom,

I enjoy having open roads at my doorstep, but NOT in winter. That's where YOU guys all win big. As long as we get out and drive once in a while that's the important thing!

William (Does 185) certainly knows what I mean in Indianapolis. Gotta drive when the weather will let you.

That particular road is not even half a mile from my house and I find it a nice picture background location. These are from last fall after a brief rain storm just before dusk. No deer in the fields that day, however.
