This photo was taken aprox. 3 months ago. Item taken from the 'Modest Bee' Thursday, December 15, 2005. A little past 2:00 AM tuesday morning , the Manteca, CA. Police received a call from a security officer, reporting 'criminal activity' (Ya Think!!) at the Manteca Ford Dealership on Main Street. A Thief or Thieves broke into the showroon by prying open the double glass doors. They kicked in the doors of 3 offices looking for the keys to the RED 2005 Ford-GT sitting on the floor. Finding them after breaking into the safe. It seems they knew where to look. After hand pushing a mustang GT (once owned by rapper '50 Cent') out of the way, re-hooking up the battery and 'Hot Wireing' the ignition (guees they never found the keys); they had it fired-up and with a 'fishtail' that knocked over the Christmas Tree and other props, they had the GT outside. Now, they used a 2002 Lincoln Navigator to ram three other cars out of the way and plow through a low chain-link fence. The Navigator was abandoned across the street with the fence under it. The Ford GT a 550 Horsepower, 6-Speed, fuel injected-supercharged, 'full blown racecar' that is street legal, handles like a Ferrari Enzo and can hit speeds well over 200 MPH, after a 0-60 time of 3.3 seconds; was found abandoned 3 miles down Yosemite Blvd.; after a man who had read about the theft, saw it wrecked on the side of the road, Wednesday. Badly damaged right side nose, mirror gone, right door scraped, rear rim and tire smashed, over $40,000 in damages. The Ford-GT carries NO spare. Evidence suggests the thief had no idea of the power they were dealing with or just did not know how to drive a stickshift/clutch. The MSRP of this vehicle was stated at $180,000. to as high as $300,000. depending on the options. There is a $10,000. reward being offered for the arrest and conviction of the thief or theives.
