hello i am 17 and slowly being able to dive on my own with my dads 74L. right now i have this issue of the throttle cable being broken at the one end towards the peddle. i know it needs to be replaced but i am not sure if there is a cheaper way other then buying one from a pantera vendor. the cable housing is still good. I was thinking about haveing a local bike shop that made my cable for my chopper fix it. does anyone one else have any ideas?

Unfortunately, replacement is really the only option, and its a real bear to do. Figure on several hours to R & R the interior to be able to string the new cable under the console & out the back firewall. Incidently, the new cable & jackets are stronger & ares teflon (I think) lined so they work smoother. Kluging the 30-yr-old cablesf is not a good idea long-term. Now, about those older-than-you-are brake hoses....
