through out bearing

is it possible for the through out bearing to leak, and what kind of expence to replace.thank you in advance. (I may purchase car that leaks)

If your talking about a hydrolic throwout bearing,(no slave cylinder mounted on the outside of the bellhousing), it can leak and has to be replaced.If its a stock type throwout bearing it should be sealed and it would have grease in it not oil.If you are leaking gear oil(90 wt) it could be from the front seal on the ZF.If its engine oil it could be the rear main seal,oil pan gasket,or back of the intake manifold.All are cheap and easy fixs but a little time consuming.Were is the car located?There might be a Pantera club member nearby who could help you figure out what it is.Good luck
