Tires Again

Another question regarding new tires. Should new tires have white lettering, or have the black walls showing. My origional tires had the white lettering showing, but it seems that origional Panteras are not in vogue. So, if I get new BFG TAs should the white letters be in or out? Sure would hate to miss selling my car because the letter color was wrong.

This is purely a personal taste issue ZZ. For me, I would only use black side walls, never raised white letters. But if you really want that "oem" look, then raised white letters would be the retro trick.

I say do what makes YOU happy.

What size rims do you have? I don't believe that you can get Euro TAs anymore that fit the rear 15 inch wheels. And they don't have white lettering on either side.

Are there other TAs? If so, what speed rating?

Jeff, BFG TA has 215/60R/15 and 255/60R/15 available, White or Blacked lettering, and my dealer can get them next day. Sorry, I did not ask about the speed rating. I never drive fast.

Cost, under $370 for 4 tires, mounted, ballanced, plus tax. We have a very good tire place, so no worry about the rims.

Black out it is, and the value of my car

keeps going up.
