I've been dreaming of having a pantera for most of my life and finally got approval from the wife & the money to spend. I got into a pantera for the first time in my life last night and to my great dissapointment, I didn't fit. I'm 6'-3" tall. The legroom left a little to be desired but I could live with that. I'm more concerned about the head room. I know that the seats can be lowered or different seats can be used. What about cutting out the floor pan to lower the seat further? What about adding bubbles to the roof similar to those on a viper? Are there any other suggestions or should I just let this dream die?

No need to let the dream die! Lowered floor pans are available from many of the Pantera vendors, many people have switched to different seats to gain more headroom, etc. Check out Mike Dailey's site (www.panteraplace.com), Mike is 6'5" (I think) & can fit, you can too! If legroom is an issue, you can also fit a smaller diameter steering wheel to help out a little. I'm sure more people will chime in here with more specifics, don't worry, we'll figure out a way to help you live your dream!

Thats 6 6 and I fit fine in my stock 71 car. For more info and pictures go to http://www.panteraplace.com/page48.htm
Go get your Pantera!!! I am 6' 6" tall and don't have a problem at all, and have retain the stock original '74L floor pans! BUT! I had to Remove all the seat tracks and put the original seats directly on the floor. I also installed a 13" steering wheel. Then I went with '96 Corvette black leather seats on the floor, and gained even more head/leg/room. Lastly, the passenger seat, is where I can bearly fit due to the "Hump" Positioning the seat much closer to the dash. Marlin.
