I am looking for a trashed ZF that's not too trashed. I don't need one that has grenaded itself or should be sold for scrap prices. Bad ring and pinion, bad bearings, gear sets, shafts or synchros OK. Guess if all those pieces are bad then it would be cheaper to buy a new one.
I'm going to make the jump into ZF repair and tweaking. Since I have rebuilt a couple dozen manual transmissions and have set up a couple dozen differentials I don't think there will be many surprises. Pinion depths, pre-loads, end-play and a real good eye for machined surface defects are fairly universal.
Please email me offline at info@xtremeclassics.com
Thanks,
Mark
