There are two holes above the pedal assembly. The one nearest the corner, on my car, is for the windshield washer pump. The cable for the hood will run from the hood latch through an adjustment stanchion on the pedal box where one can adjust the cable tension (nut adjustment on each side). From there you will have a very small hole which is covered by the rubber seal where a rivet holds the cable in a cable loop. The cable then runs inside the cabin through the hole nearer the center of the pedal box.
As an additional comment, while you're running this hood cable, loop another cable through your hood latch and drill a hole in your pedal box in line with your cable latch and run a small cable to the inside of your pedal box for the cable to dangle above your pedals. This cable becomes your emergency release in the event of your main cable failure.
