trying to post pictures

The max attachment limit per post is 200KB, which is a fairly small phtoto, you can reduce the quality/size down to this and they should post. If you have a few to share you might consider posting as a photo album, I'm not sure if the same size limts apply then.

The alternative is to use on of the free online hosts like photobucket and post a link on the forum.

I use a tool called Irfanview to resize batches of pictures for upload to this (and other) websites.

Makes it easy to select all the pictures in a folder and do a batch resizing (640x480 for example) and save in a new folder. And if a picture is still over 200kb, you can 'save as' and lower the quality to get the size down.

i have them at photo bucket but still dont know what to do. sorry if i sound stupid but me and computers are like oil and water. not really mixing. me and women ok

On photobucket place cursor over the pic you want and a box will open under the pic. Move cursor to "IMG Code" and right click onto that line and click on "copy". Then come back to your "post reply window" and just highlight reply window so you ensure the cursor is blinking in the text box and then right click and then click on paste. Dont try to use the add attachment or any other reply icon. photobucket gives you all the code you need to post pics here. Also when you post pics from a secondary website the photos will be viewable by anyone looking at that thread.

Photobucket provides a setting for maximum picture size when you are uploading image files. I have mine set at 800 x 640 pixels. I recommend the pictures are no wider than 800 pixels for any internet application because 800 pixels is all you can fit on a 15" computer monitor, and some people may still be using a 13" monitor. Once you have that setting set at 800 x 640 Photobucket will resize all of your photos as you upload them.

Once the image is uploaded to photobucket and automatically resized, all you have to do is follow OSOFAST's advice; highlight (left click) & copy (right click, select copy) the IMG Code and then paste it into the body of your message here (right click, select paste).

I e-mail my photos to myself and then save them , noting them as small (Later if I pull them up I know that I can post them without doing anything), and then they post fine.
