Tucson Pantera Event: Breakfast Run Up Mount Lemmon (11 August 2013, early!)
The SE AZ Panteras are planning a run up Mount Lemmon on Sunday, 11 August to beat the heat, and to get up to the cool pines. For those of us that can’t make the trip to Hannigan’s Meadow, this will be as close as we can get, and we will save on gas!
Bring Your “Cat” out.
We will meet at the intersection of Catalina Highway and E. Tanque Verde Road. We will meet on the Northwest side of the intersection, in the big parking lot, behind the Bear Canyon Police Station.

Let’s meet at 0730 AM, with a plan to leave from there at 0800. This will get us out of the heat, and we will avoid a majority of the car traffic up the hill (can’t guarantee bicycles won’t be there!).
For breakfast, we can eat at the “Sawmill Run” restaurant, I will make reservations as we get a headcount, and as the date gets a little closer. We can show off the cars up on top after breakfast, there’s some parking lots up on top that we can take over!
Sawmill Run
We should be back to our starting point by about 1:00 in the afternoon.
Please RSVP (post up here) so I can get a number for the breakfast reservations.
