Well I finally took a couple days off work to catch up with the ever growing list of things to do, which now grows at twice the speed!

First it was ZF removal from the GT5, crated it and shipped it to Dennis Quella for a re-rebuild. BTW the local Wal Mart's here (all 4 of them now) no longer sell the cargo box ideal for shipping the ZF. The sales clerk kindly told me they sold like 'hot cakes' but they took up a lot of shelf space so they dicontinued them.... WTF, I guess they need the shelf space for Burritos and Enchiladas. I must admit I generally refuse to shop at WalMart due to their lack of staff benefits & policies.

Anyway after some searching I found a similar item at Lowes, in fact probably more sturdy. For those that might need to ship their ZF it was a 'Contico Pro Tuff Bin' item #91573 at $49.98. A perfect width and I bolted the mounting ears directly to the side of the box.

The '74 had a rod bearing knocking after the local track event, so out came the motor for the rebuild. I have a feeling this could take some time and grow into a bigger projet...well while the motor is out there's.......

I couldn't face being Panteraless for the best driving months of the year so I separated the '74's ZF and installed that in the GT5. A lot of work for a guy on his own, but I feel I had a good couple days, it all went like clock work and I really re-bonded with both Pantera's, which due to work committments have been neglected recently.

What's on the agenda for the GT-5's ZF?

To get it shifting correctly, especially 3rd. Coz was having it rebuilt when I purchased the car and I had the tall 5th added at that time. It still has shifting problems, espceillay on hard driving, so Dennis agreed to take it back and open it up to see what the problem is.
Just talked to Julian, it's shifting perfectly so now we know it's the box, not the clutch disc or pressure plate.
This is good news, sort of.
