I heard of a car that had a set of these engine mounts getting soft and causing problems. The heat transfer from the engine block after the car had been drive several hundred miles at one time was enough to cause a problem. I don't think that the car had 180 degree headers and doubt that it is radiant heat from the headers that were a factor. Talk to Dennis at Pantera Performance Center in Colorado, I believe he knows something about this.
