How do they attach? Do you have to open up the hole more?

The first flush-mount gas cap I ever saw was aadapted from a big Suzuki motorcycle to a pre-L Pantera in the late '80s. I thought it looked neat- kind of aircraft-y. It may be easier to do this switch to a pre-L than an L with outside-gas filler, although you could recoupe some of the cost of an L by selling the now-useless fuel door & mechanism. I suspect this is NOT an easy adaption, since for starters, on a pre-L you'll need to build a connecting pipe to the tank from your new filler cap, after attaching the new cap, then bore the gill to size..
