I removed the top rad cover off to do some maintenance, I left it off and drove it around the block (aprox 2 mi. I noticed my temp gauge reading aprox 150 deg (not very hot)but when I pulled into the garage I noticed both cooling fans were running this does not happen very often and not at 150 degree. Its been raining (bad weather) since so I havn't taken my car out again to try it with the cover on. Could not having the cover on cause this to happen? What baffeles me is the water in the rad was hotter than the block. Any info would help. Thanks for you're time....
