Who cares if it is fast, it is as cut as a bug's ear. I bet it is about as fast as a Fiero. Maybe like an MR2. Cute because it is like a baby Pantera wannabe.
Their styling never grew on me but this one, in Black, actually looks decent.
The ad says only 410 Jalpas were built during its production life. Never realized so few were built, so there is some collectability.
Though, imagine finding/affording parts and maintenance..

After seeing a couple of Jalpa's in person a few years back, I tend to like them, it seems pictures do them no justice. It may not be the ultimate Lambo, but it is way up there in the cool/what is that/bet your neighbor does not have one factor that's for sure!
Reminded me of the Bricklin.
