What flaires on irridescent monster?

Same with the paint...impressively, beautifully, way over the top.

A closer one of the flares. Looks like an attempt to do a group 4/GT5S combo conversion. I was looking at that car a while back. The flares I thought were kind of unique, and with the right tires & offset, and getting it lower along with different paint it really may not be too bad. I like unique stuff like that, although to my tastes it would need a little changing here and there...but I do like the flares. Although to those who like the traditional group 4 or GT5S flares, it will always look a little "home made".

One more. I personally like the hood prop.

Here's a European Pantera that also has unusual, custom fender flares. I think they look awesome. Does anyone know anything about this car?

Yea, thanks for the great shots. I also do think the purple flairs look smooth and modern. Like it was part of the car's shape from the beginning.

I like the regular group 4 flairs too (the welded look good, and the plastic rivet-on even have a good "Road Warrior" look, if that's what you're after).

On the black car below, it looks like the rear flair has added another sill/hip edge to the car. Or is that just the light in the photo?

I assume that this kind of custom metal work is very expensive, no?

I like the black car much better. Who has pics of the red car that was widened by 6 inches on each side? That was wild. The irredesent cars edges are too sharp for me. Bill 1362

Here is a picture of the black car from behind. The mods are nicely done all in steel, like the way he moved the tail lights out so it looks original. It also have a massive engine 520cu if I dont remember wrongly.

I'm having trouble deciphering that fender...

It looks like there is a new ridge along the top, but then they dont seem to stick out very far in relation to the original tail fo the car (assuming that the tail lights havent been moved, or something strange). I guess, I'm saying that it looks like the lines of the car have been changed without the fenders being much wider.

Also...just to put this all in perspective (for me as a newbie to Panteras)...I was pretty drawn to the wide, low, mean look of a group four fender, compared to the stock lines.

But recently I got my first tour of a real Pantera (IE, not just photos), yea actually my first time ever actually seeing one (thanks Olaf!). So now you know how much of a neophyte you're talking to...

But my point is, standing next to a real Pantera, with no fender flairs at all, it was already so wide, and low, and mean looking that I realized then and there, I'd be forever satisfied with no flairs at all. Give me a stock '72 in black and send me on my way!

I keep telling myself I am going to do this to my next project.

My car has also been tubbed outward.
Here you can see around 40mm added to the rear fender width, as well as the door skin & front fenders.
