I am looking for a Hi-Torque starter for my 351c with stock flywheel,does anyone have any suggestions and part numbers, I would appreciate the help.

Just replaced my high torque starter a couple of weeks ago (one I'd purchased from PPC in Colorado several years ago). Since it was Sunday I decided I'd give the boys at NAPA a shot at it before ordering one from another vendor - wasn't holding out any real hope that they could do me any good though. Lo & behold, they came up with the exact same starter & offered a lifetime warranty on it to boot! Cost me less than $150 & I was back on the road with no waiting or shipping charges. I'll get the part # for you when I get home from work tonight & drop you an e-mail.

I got mine from Hall Pantera. It turns over so much better now I am no longer afraid to shut the engine off.

I, and many others, have been recommending the gear reduction starters from Alterstart in Dallas, TX. They are very affordable and work great. I've had mine on for about 3 years now, and have not had one problem. Their website is http://www.4alterstart.com/ , but they also sell them on Ebay much cheaper.
