I HAVE ALWAYS USED 20W-50! IT'S ALSO WHAT THE BOOK,(OWNERS MANUAL) CALLS FOR IN 90 DEGREE WHEATHER. BRANDS? VALVOLINE, MOBIL ONE(IF YOU CAN AFFORD IT). RIGHT NOW IAM WORKING CASTROL GTX RACING, WHEN THE TEMPERATURE GETS ABOVE 100 OUT HERE IN THE CENTRAL VALLEY, THE CASTROL STAYS UP AT 45 PSIG. AND I HAVE YET TO HEAR ANY LIFTER NOISE FROM THINNED OIL. THE 20(WINTER)(ADDITIVES,DETERGENTS,SUSPENDERS, ETC.) PART IS TO KEEP LIFTER,(AND OTHER PARTS)"VARNISHING" TO A MINIMUM!! THATS THE REASON I DO NOT RUN STRAIGHT 50 WEIGHT IN THIS HEAT. REGARDS, MARLIN.
I use Mobil 1 synthetic, 15/50. the Mobil 1 website has the following recommendations:
Mobil 1 with SuperSyn is available in five viscosity grades:

Mobil 1 with SuperSyn 10W-30 Higher-Mileage Vehicle Formula

Mobil 1 with SuperSyn 5W-30 Newer Vehicle Formula

Mobil 1 with SuperSyn 15W-50 Performance Driving Formula

Mobil 1 with SuperSyn 0W-30 Enhanced Fuel Economy Formula

Mobil 1 with SuperSyn 0W-40 European Car Formula
