I have only been a Pantera owner for a few months, and have enjoyed the car so much. It took me years of saving, looking, researching, dreaming to one day own this car. But.....what if someone came up to me and said, "I want to buy your car". I think my first response would be, "you can't afford it". But really, on the spot, some guy wants to buy it....what would it take? $40,000? A profit for me, or is it? Phone calls, driving for hours, only to find a piece of junk. Looking at Panteras with more problems than an AMC Pacer taxie cab! A LOT of work went into FINDING a nice Pantera, THAT is worth a ton of money! Bottom line? Its not for sale right now......unless........65K....mmmmm....maybe. Naaa, the owner intrusted me with his baby, I want to enjoy and relish the experience for now. Happy Thanksgiving to you ALL.

If I sold 6018, it would be at a healthy profit, and only so I could purchase another one. But I didn't purchase mine directly from the previous owner, so I don't have that feeling that I'm the caretaker of someone else's baby.

I really am not in the market for another Pantera however, I'm quite satisfied with the purchase I made.

Tim, thanks for sharing that, and to you and your loved ones, have a safe and happy Thanksgiving Holiday.

Tim, I went through the same thing. STill do, only don't make the mistake I made. I told my wife that if anyone ever offered me 54K for it I would sell it. As more time passes it looks more and more dangerous that something like that might happen. THe guy who put a new motor in it last winter said he just assumed the car was well over 100 grand. To people who are not familiar with the cars, 100K seems pretty resonable.
I did all my searching on the internet, saving travel time..what did I get for 26600$ probobly a decent car, not rust free mind you. But it is a dream come true for me, If I sold I would rebuy, one that has already been gone through. Or at least been painted...know what I mean?

You know, now that you say THAT Mark, I realize that if Glen offered to trade his car for mine, I would in a FLASH. I guess I was wrong. We probably all have our "price".
