I figure that there are a lot less of those than the dash-2 so are probably and will be even more valuable in the years to come. You don't seem many dash-1's for sale. I was contemplating updating to a dash-2 but decided to keep the car with the orignal drive train for collector value. If you don't need the cash, run the dash-2 and stash the dash-1
Dennis, Not a bad Idea - Keeping the Dash-1 - I need to do extensive work anyway before I put it back on the road. I should be able to snag a dash-2 at a resonable price within the next year.
I got a spare Dash-2 tucked away just in case for the '73 but now have the '71 and 'goose which have Dash-1's in them. I'm working on getting a spare Dash-1, just in case.
I'm working on a deal for a Dash-1 that's in the shop waiting to be rebuilt. I plan to keep both versions as spares. The '73 has the D-2 and the '71 and the goose have the D-1
Interesting stuff..... Anyone know what a Dash-2 from RBT would go for if they could supply?....and is that on an exchange for ur old one or outright purchase?
I just sold an orginal type 2 that worked but was in need of safety wiring and rebuild for $5,000.00 so maybe this will help you put a price on a rebuilt unit.
My guess would be $7,000 to $8,000 for a rebuilt unit outright.
Thanks Mark, The Dash-1 Is being rebuilt by Precision Proformance right now. That's the cheap part. Since its been out I went crazy and pulled the rest of the car apart.
