The interior on this car looks great. They look like Ferreari 308 seats. I would love to change my seats to this look. I think they are just the stock seats with new seat covers but I am not sure. If they are does anybody know where to get them and how much are they?

The thing that interests me about the pictures is the last one, It appears there are stereo speaker holes in the bulkhead cover over the driver's left shoulder. I wonder where they found speakers so thin. As to the seatcovers themselves any good upholstery shop should be able to do them. My guy charged me $150 (plus material)to do my seats. He duplicated the original pattern in super high quality marine grade vinyl (about $30 a square yard). This stuff is soft, and looks and feels like leather and has fooled many knowledgable people at a fraction of the cost of leather. He also did my dash, door panels, arm rests, console and bulkhead plus the inside windshield and headliner trim. I have about $1600 in the interior including the carpet and the Burlwood kit. Leather would have almost doubled the cost.

I wonder how these seats feel after a long drive? The block pattern is a little suspect to me (uneven pressure/support). I agree that looks are a valid issue, but if you plan to drive the car, they better feel good after 2 or 3 hours too. Pressure points that are hardly noticable after 30 minutes can become very annoying after 2 hours.
If you're not interested in originality, which sounds like you're not, I'd ditch the original seats! They are just plain BAD!!

Go for Corvette, Fiero, etc. seats. Your bottom side will thank you! Marlin mentioned Mike Dailey's site, I second his recommendation.

Anyone have pics of different seats in their pantera, especially without the dropped floorpan?
Take the pictures and your car or a seat to Marc at Marcs Custom Upholstery in Converse(east San Antonio)and he will give you a fair estimate. He does custom work all the time and is very good. Then you can give me your old seat covers! Call me if you can't find his number in the book. CB
I upgraded to Corvette C4 seats and I love them, especially the bolsters.

Gary Herrig has some for sale. They bolt right in using the stock seat tracks. Chris Pappendorf also purchased a set from Gary.

Here are some pics from Chris' car:

Gary can also put the perforated material in the middle.

He has a pair for sale, I think he's asking $550. He can be reached at glherrig@yahoo.com

They are lighter than the stock seats, plus the recline and advance. I do not have dropped pans in my car and I like the fit.

Mad DaWg saw the seats before they were installed in my car and he commented on the prefessional appearance of the upholstery, Gary does good work.

Hey is that you Carter? Are you sure you would want my old seats? They are not as comfy as they look. I am looking into something with a little more lateral support like reupholstered fieros or recaro$$$.
I really like these for 1683 especially with Isis emblems right in the middle as well as headrest speakers, what do you think? http://www.mrmikes.com/images/430ex1lg.jpg http://www.mrmikes.com/images/430ex2lg.jpg http://www.mrmikes.com/430.htm
