Where is the best place to put jackstands under the front of the car? I searched the archives here and found out where to put them on the rear of the car. I'm planning to do some suspension work soon.
I installed the aluminum jacking plates from Hall Pantera. It is a 5 piece set with 1 for under each motor mount, 1 for the rear crossmember and one for each side in the front, They mount on the curved section of the framerail right behind each wheelhouse opening. I still cover my jack & stands with foam or cardboard to avoid metal to metal contact.
When I did my suspension, I suppported the car on the two rails that run the length of the car (2 supports in back & 2 in the front). I hope you do the suspension good by doing everything while you are in there. I was just going to replace bushings, then decided to do "everything" right when I had it apart...and sure glad I did, eventhough it was a project.
